Climate-Shield® coatings were developed by General Industries Corporation Inc. in 1984 in the US state of Colorado, primarily as a high quality, durable and energy-efficient roofing coatings. The tradition of Climate-Shield® coatings, known in the USA under the trade name Thermo-Shield® Paint & Coatings, is based on more than 7 years of scientific research. Climate-Shield®'s portfolio of coatings expanded in the early 1990s, to include exterior and interior coatings and coatings for specific substrates such as wood and metal.

Since the 1990s, Climate-Shield® coatings, including the know-how and technology of their production, have been owned by SPM Thermo-Shield Inc., based in Florida, USA. The company HAESS Europe s.r.o. (based in Ostrava, Czech Republic) has the exclusive rights for dealership of original Climate-Shield® Genuine coatings. Made in the U.S.A. for Central Europe.

Climate-Shield® coatings are anti-allergic, 100% vapour-permeable, do not allow dirt or dust to settle on their surface and ensure optimal thermal comfort in the rooms. Climate-Shield® coatings prevent the formation of mildew, fungi and algae on facades and interior walls. Climate-Shield® products are not harmful to health and have the highest certification for use in the food industry and healthcare.

Climate-Shield® coatings are non-toxic, do not contain harmful substances and their use is completely harmless to humans and animals. The coatings are water-soluble and do not harm the environment. Due to their properties, Climate-Shield® coatings can significantly contribute to reducing urban overheating.

Climate-Shield® coatings excel in a simple and fast application. No building permit is required for the use of Climate-Shield® coatings on facades. No special equipment is required for the application of Climate-Shield® coatings.

Climate-Shield® coatings are extremely durable and non-flammable (flammability group A - Non-flammable). Climate-Shield® paints are impact-resistant, insulate sound, excel in high flexibility even at extreme temperatures (from - 50 ° C to + 200 ° C), protect masonry in the temperature range from - 40 ° C to + 90 ° C and prevent overheating of building structures. Our products provide surfaces with protection against harsh environmental conditions, retain colourfastness and minimize the effects of UV radiation. Climate-Shield® coatings protect building structures from damage by frost, acids, aggressive chemicals, exhaust fumes and salt.

It took me a while to believe that Climate-Shield really worked the way they say it does. I've seen a lot of "smart" colours, but none of them ever worked. That's why I wanted to try the coating on something smaller at first, so I painted a hot water boiler in the autumn. Climate-Shield solved our problem with our mouldy facade and insulation of our apartment building.
